Yarn Needle

beg - beginning
sp - space
st(s) - stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet

Pattern Notes:
Coaster is worked in the round. Mustache is sewn on top.

Start with a magic circle.
Round 1: Ch 2, 12 dc in magic circle. Sl st to beg dc. (12dc)

Round 2: Ch 2, 2dc in same sp and in each dc around. Sl st to beg dc. (24dc)

Round 3: Ch 2, 1dc in same sp, 2dc in next dc. Repeat (1dc, 2dc) around. Sl st to beg dc. (36dc)

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Round 1: With new color, sl st in any dc, ch 1, sc in next 2 dc, 2sc in next dc. Repeat (1sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next st) around. (48sc)

Round 2: Sl st to beg sc, sl st in each sc around. Sl st to beg sl st. (49 sl sts)

Fasten off, weave in ends.

I modified this pattern from Makes & Takes by working my stitches into the backbone of the chain.

Leave a long tail at the beginning and the end of the mustache (about 7 inches) for sewing.

Carefully sew the mustache to the surface of your coaster.

Weave in any loose ends.

All done!

Repeat this pattern 3 more times to finish the set.

**You may sell products made from this pattern. I only ask that you link my pattern in your listing. Thank you! **

You can also download the pdf version from Craftsy and Ravelry.
